While the average Stonewielder certainly has a great deal of power at his/her fingertips, the power available through the Stones is still limited. During major wars between multiple magical societies, it often isn't enough to break the tide of battle.
The Artifacts, on the other hand, are powerful enough to demolish armies, annihilate civilizations, and completely change the course of the war. Each Artifact is unique, though the share certain characteristics among them.
How they come to be: - The Artifacts are gifts from the Sender, sometimes bestowed through members of other interdimensional species, sometimes simply granted to individuals during the course of battle.
How they work: - Each Artifact has a specific use. When the Artifact is activated, it will perform its function, then teleport itself to somewhere else on the Earth's surface. This was added by the Sender, to prevent anyone from abusing the power granted by the powerful items.
Known Artifacts: - Shield of Yemech - Granted to Yemech Cala in the battle against the K'exil forces. - Can be used to absorb and reflect all forms of energy. - Sword of Vorfir - Granted to Vorfir in the battle of Bartolo. - Can unleash massive swaths of destruction, wiping out entire cities in a single sweep. - Stone of Heridor - Granted to Heridor Cala shortly after the battle against the K'exil forces. - Allows the user to duplicate themselves hundreds of times. Also provides extra mental capacity to handle controlling so many bodies.
