Known for their boodthirsty ways, the blood elves are drawn to battle with a innate desire even stronger than that of the orcs. Native to the continent of Fairn, blood elves have ravaged the land for all of working memory. Operating in small tribes of close family units, they oppose any and all forms of civilization other than anarchy, and have thus made it nearly impossible for Fairn to develop a proper culture.
It is commonly believed that blood elves were created in Calsin's First Era, shortly after the creation of the High Elves on Calsin. Engravings in the ruins that cover all of Fairn depict the elves being used as foot soldiers for the oppressive Regal Elves, leading many experts to suggest that they were created not by the gods but instead engineered by mere mortals. Proponents of this theory believe that this was accomplished by mixing orcish blood with that of high or dark elves, but as with so much about ancient Fairn, this is unknown for certain.
