Noted Lore: - Once, when the Elven Empire still loomed large over the world, a cruel man named Darthrak was Emperor. He was an evil man, who killed thousands of his own men simply out of hatred and fear. Many tried to remove him from his office, but his magic was too powerful, repelling even a hundred attacking troops at a time. Men cried out to the gods for help, but all were silent, as Darthrak had made a pledge with Nubierd to ensure his reign. Nevertheless, Gethsemia, Nubierd's grandson, looked upon the elves with pity. He went behind his grandfather's back and snuck down into the land of the mortals, where he endowed a nameless dark elf with great powers of stealth. Together, the two of them approached and killed Darthrak, ending his evil reign. Both then faded into the darkness, telling the tale of the great and mighty Gethsemia to any who would listen. Ever since then, Gethsemia has kept to the shadows, still in fear of Nubierd's wrath.
Conventional lore: - The origin of Gethsemia is likely embellished. Emperor Darthrak is indeed a noted Elven Emperor, but his reign is noted as being one of peace, not of war. Most likely, the assassin who killed him invented the story over the years to justify his misdeeds. Regardless of how true the story is, though, Gethsemia's existence is true enough. He only accepts worship from a select few, though those whom he picks are always elevated to the status of warlock, and subsequently used to carry out his will upon Calsin.
