Noted Lore: - Following the creation of humans and their subsequent rescue by Dararma, the humans were still struggling. They had yet to learn the skills to forge weapons, and thus couldn't fight back against any of the monsters of the wilderness. Hinchipol came to their aid, offering his gifts of knowledge to the young race. When the humans continued to struggle, Hinchipol gave his own life, transforming himself into the magical force that all humans can still access to this day.
Conventional lore: - While Hinchipol was certainly a generous deity, his sacrifice is not quite as many humans remember it. In fact, it was a group of wizards and scholars who lured Hinchipol into their midst and then used his own magic to kill him. It is true that his death created the magical field that humans can access, but it is a lie that this magic was given peacefully. The Council believes that this lie was created so that the young race wouldn't feel guilty about using the magic they had been given.
