Haha! Twenty days exactly have passed since my last post here, and progress is actually happening! So, here's a quick update, and a glimpse of what's happening in our future!
If you've been following our website (and the analytics say that people are coming here, so I assume someone is), then you've noticed a lot of changes. The lore tab has been added, exploring much of the worldbuilding behind my novels that doesn't necessarily make it into the books. I've also added The Eternal Quest to this site, though it's still not accessible to the general public. In addition, there have been dozens of more minor changes around the site, tweaks to different displays, alterations to fonts, etc. Now, I know it might be frustrating to some to have TEQ dangled there without being totally accessible, but... Please believe me, there's a reason. The first chapter, as some of you have probably noticed, is open to the general public. And, as you've probably noticed, it's kinda hard to read. In fact, that's a general comment I've received back across the entire site, and it's a problem that we're working actively to resolve. At this point, I honestly don't know what form that will take. We've been doing research on plugins to help the text flow smoother, but as of this moment, haven't been able to find anything that suits our needs fully. So, with that said, here's our rough schedule. As you can see, we don't have solid dates set, and that's simply because we don't know how much time this will take. We want the ultimate re-launch of this site to be as incredible as possible, and if it takes a few weeks longer than expected to manage that, then so be it. - Complete the basic design of the site. This includes getting the various pages to a readable state, improving the fundamental design, and adding content. - Prepare the subscription for the site. As it stands right now, The Eternal Quest is only available on Patreon, where $5 a month grants complete access. For the moment, we see no reason to change that pricing. However, we plan on giving the subscription a much cooler name (such as Lead Pyramid Plus), as well as ensuring that you can actually make the purchase (right now, it's obviously not possible to purchase anywhere on here). - Formally launch the website. Banners, fireworks, flaming torches, the works. At least in my head. - Begin adding all my current novels to the website. These will all be available under the subscription, everything from the first Project Nomad to my brand-new releases! Once we get all my novels up and available... We'll just have to see where things go! We have some quite exciting plans for future projects, but many of them are dependent on just how well these launches work out. And, with that, I will draw to a close and get back to constructing this site! If you have any suggestions on how to improve things, pages you'd like to see, content that you feel is unnecessary, or just random declarations, let me know! And, as always, stay tuned for more updates!

So... It doesn't take much to see that we haven't exactly been the most active here. As of right now, that's changing. Without further ado, I'm going to jump straight into what this page is meant for: News! The Eternal Quest An orc, a dwarf, and an elf walk into a bar. What happens next? Well... November 12, 2018, saw the launch of my new Epic Fantasy webseries! This is a project of unparalleled size, as I release a new novella every single week! For a more specific context, each chapter is about 10,000 words long, or 1/10th the length of an ordinary novel. As of today, it has been running for 10 weeks! The series is broken down into Volumes and Appendices. The Volumes follow the main storyline, keeping track of a handful of adventurers as they travel through a massive world. The Appendices, on the other hand, follow the adventurers of different side characters seen throughout the Volumes. For example, Volume 1: Shadows of the Wondrisil (which began releasing on November 12 and finished up on December 28) followed the adventures of Garnisic, Hesione, and Ondernifam as they tried to discover the secrets behind a series of books with living text. After its conclusion, Appendix A: Blood and Water began releasing, and will continue through January 25. This follows the adventures of Talfin, an aqahartis who helped the main team, as he returns to Tifingor to reclaim his lost ambassador's position from his brother. Come February 1st, Volume 2: Angels of the Light, will begin releasing, and will explore the consequences behind the climax of the Volume 1. As of right now, The Eternal Quest is available only through Patreon, as subscriptions are quite hard to manage on other websites. The link is: https://www.patreon.com/leadpyramid. Upcoming releases: Apocolyps Squad: Soon The Apocalypse Prevention Department is a secret division of the United States Military, tasked with detecting and preventing world-ending events before the world, well... Ends. Of course, since the world isn't really in the habit of ending that often, the government keeps it staffed with their misfits and renegades. For years, the ragtag group of bureaucrats has enjoyed a life of luxury. However, when their department is threatened with budget cuts, they'll be faced with a task even more daunting than saving the world: Actually doing their jobs. I'm not setting an official release date yet, but... It's soon. I'll be posting character sketches and the cover reveal before too much longer, so stay tuned! Legacy of the Yellow: Late Spring Following Legacy of the Green, Yellow will be the fourth book in the Stonewielder series! While other books in the series have touched on the Eniacs and the Edils, Yellow will delve far deeper into the history of the living weapons, as well as the social stigmas and discrimination that they receive at the hands of the Stonewielders. Once again, I'm not setting a set release date, but you should look for it come April/May! As of this moment, this is all the news that I am able to share. That said, we've got some exciting projects in the works! Stay tuned for all the updates as we move into a new era for Lead Pyramid! |
