I had something really catchy to open this with, and promptly forgot what it was as soon as I started typing. Oh, well. If I remember, I'll go back and replace this text.
Introducing... A quick look at what I've gotten done and what I plan to do! Last week: - TEQ Volume 4: Citizens of Ash: Ruin (Chapter 53) Behind the Scenes: - Volume 4 is currently releasing!!! Woot woot!!!! Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I'm just really excited for where the series is heading! As far as this week goes, it was more or less par for the course. Last week, I stood at 26,311 words on Age of Saints. Now, I'm 44,158. Not as high as I'd hoped, but I'm not complaining! I'm really enjoying the path that the narrative is taking and developing. As stated last week, it's a very different project than anything I've worked on before. It's much more thoughtful and paced, I hope intentionally so. But yeah, that's what I spent most of my week on! In other news... My wife is having a baby boy!!! Actually, those who follow me on FB probably already know that. Yesterday, I took off work to go to the 20-week ultrasound, where they were able to confirm the gender and measure a number of statistics. And... Everything looked good! For the most part. There's one minor issue that they want to keep an eye on, but they don't think it'll actually resolve into anything. In OTHER non-writing news... My cat, Julian, almost died this week. On Wednesday night, I got home from work to find him curled up in a ball next to an air vent, not really moving. And then he started peeing blood. We got him into the vet and they were able to stabilize him, so that's a massive relief! We're now quite substantially in debt to the vet, but at least we have feline cuddles to make up for it! Next week: - TEQ Volume 4: Citizens of Ash: Rivers (Chapter 54) Behind the Scenes: - Honestly, my plan is more or less the same that it was last week. Keep plugging away at Age of Saints and preparing for other projects. There's nothing major on my calendar to deal with, so hopefully it'll be a productive week! Until next time! Dakota
