Need... Coffee...
Or just soda. Coffee is kinda gross. Or really just caffeine. Pure caffeine. Seriously, you can buy SO many illegal drugs off the street, but the one that's legal you can only find suspended in varying types of liquid? *sigh* Anyway... A quick look at what I've done and what I'll be up to! This week: - TEQ Volume 3: Creatures of Darkness: Preparations (Chapter 39) Behind the Scenes: - This week has been BEYOND crazy. And... Yeah, that's really the best way to describe it. At my day job, I'm covering roughly three times my normal workload. Which just isn't fun. In the slightest. Thankfully, they've finally got someone else hired, so there's a possibility it will slow down soon. Regardless, I've been REALLY struggling to get things done because of it. Now, that doesn't mean I haven't been productive. I'm still waiting to hear back from my editor, so I decided to put more work into TEQ. I was able to write the first chapter in Volume 4 (chapter 53) and got a good start on chapter 54. It's... Absolutely incredible to think of how much TEQ has grown just over the short time that I've already been building it. And I'm so excited to keep moving forward with it!!! Next week: - TEQ Volume 3: Creatures of Darkness: The Fall of Nettingo (Chapter 40) Behind the Scenes: - Unlike what happened last week, I actually know a BIT more about my plans for the next seven-day period. For the moment, I'm going to keep pushing forward on TEQ. I'm not making progress very quickly, but I AM making progress, and I'm going to take that for what it's worth. That said... Next week I should have the final edits for Apocolyps Squad II!!!!! What that means, first and foremost, is that I'll be able to run through the final round of edits and start working on the polishing. Secondly, and perhaps more important: I'll be able to set a release date! I've been holding back from actually declaring a release window because I just haven't been certain how many edits I'm going to have to do. I don't know if the editor will like some of the choices I made, or if I'll have to go back and rewrite entire swaths of the book. Once I know all of that for sure, I should be able to really start finalizing that, and start actually showing you more from the project!!! I'll also be able to start work on the third and final book of the series, once I'm confident that my chosen direction is a good one. Other than doing work for ASII, my plans are to keep moving forward on TEQ. I can't remember if I've said this here yet or not, but Volume 4 will wrap up the current story arc with the angels, bringing the story of Malah, Isnita, Simon, and so many more to a close. As such, I'm SO excited to be writing that story now, to work on bringing it all together! I think the conclusion is going to be truly satisfying, and I just can't wait to show it to you!!! And... That's everything I can think of! Until next time! Dakota
