Known for their pursuit of technology and the arts, star elves have long been associated with progress and industry. Native to the continent of Corinth, the star elves have been the backbone of society for all of recorded history. This isn't to say that their history has been bloodless, though: Such a strong desire for growth and exploration has created many bitter rivalries that has resulted in hundreds of wars and other conflicts.
According to legend, the star elves were born from a great calamity that rocked the world in millennia past. Following a terrible earthquake, a small group of elves was washed out to sea. Adrift on the ruins of their former homes, they called out to the gods for help. Their cry was answered, as a great beam of light shone down from the stars and transformed the survivors of the catastrophe. Gifted with a newfound intelligence, they used the remains to build a great ship, and sailed to land on the shores of an unfamiliar land.
