Excerpt from the minutes of the Deity Council, written to clerics, religious leaders, or any godly-minded individuals:
"Though we are sometimes called the 'Divine Council,' such a name is simply misleading about our true purpose. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of beings and entities across Calsin that could be considered divine. Such a title simply means that the being exists on a plane of existence above our own, or has powers sufficiently more advanced than an average individual. What this council seeks to do is classify and organize as many of those beings as possible. We seek to determine which being are worshiped, which beings should be worshiped, and what species should give them devotion. In this vein, we have devised the following table:
Status: - Acknowledged: People accept that this being exists, but do not typically call out for assistance. - Patron: Often invoked in specific circumstances, but not worshiped wholeheartedly. - Worshiped: Sacrifices are offered and praises are sung to these beings as a rite of life. - Despised: This being is seen as a bringer of doom and destruction. - Deposed: This being has been acknowledged as false. - Dead: This being has suffered the fate of mortals.
In addition to this categorization system, we have also compiled an assortment of known lore alongside verifiable facts. All this, we give to you, to help you further your religious pursuits and investments in the afterlife."
